I replaced the 4 AAA batteries in the right side of the camera and it still won't work Some one told me that it may have an additional internal battery
Re: Replaced the 4 AAA batteries still does not work
There may be a button battery on the bottom side of the camera. Look for a circle about 3/4 of an inch in diameter with a screwslot in the middle. This battery number is "usually" CR2032.

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you. You are having problems because you calculator won't turn on. I think you should try changing the batteries. Did you know that your calculator has two batteries powering it? Not only are the 4 AAA batteries powering it, but there is also a CR 3V Lithium Back Up battery powering it as well. First, try changing the 4 AAA batteries. If that still does not power your calculator properly, you will need to replace the lithium back up battery. You can find this at a department store or store that carries electronics. To do this, open your regular battery compartment. Above the AAA batteries is a compartment that says "BACK UP BATTERY CR1616 OR CR1620" with a picture of it. Use a small crosshead screwdriver to open the compartment. Take the old battery out and replace it with the new one. Rescrew the lithium battery compartment back on and close the AAA battery compartment. Turn on your calculator and see if that works. I hope this solution solves this.
My HDC-570AB Hitachi digital camera drains AAA batteries as soon as I switch it on so that batteries are running low within 2 minutes of taking pictures. It renders the camera useless unless I take out an endless supply of AAA batteries! Is there a solution to this?
One solution that i read was "i had two fv700 do the same thing. i replaced the nimh battery packs in both radios and replaced with triple a batteries and both started working properly"
This has worked for me also - aaa batteries fit right in - it's just a drag that it's not rechargeable anymore - I wonder if 3 rechargeable aaa's would work?
Your camera uses 4x AAA 1.5v alkaline manganese batteries (definitely NOT lithium, your camera doesn't respond well to rechargeables of any kind either). If you look at the side of the right hand grip you'll see a large screw. Use a coin to turn it counter clockwise a quarter turn and the battery compartment will then open.
I know you say that A and AAA batteries don't fit, the the camera calls for (4) 1.5 V AAA-batteries. There are no other batteries that I am aware of that either resemble or replace that size and style of battery. You may want to try again. I hope this helps and good luck!

Try rechargeable batteries if your are using AAA or AA. Some cameras just stop working with the one-use batteries. If you have a lithium or other specialty battery, try getting another battery. Your battery may need to be replaced. I shoot a professional grade camera. I can shoot a whole wedding and part of the reception on one set of batteries. The brand I use is called Eneloop. You can't go wrong with these rechargeable batteries. The can be found at any place that sells camera supplies or off Ebay. They typically cost about $12 for 4 AA's. Best wishes.
Try checking the contrast. It may have gotten turned down. Press the on key. Next press 2nd key and then hold the up arrow key. This will darken the screen. You can lighten the screen by doing the same, but using the down arrow key.
If this doesn't work and you've replaced your 4 AAA batteries, the calculator may need to be reset. In a little door with a screw right above AAA batteries is an internal battery. Take this and all batteries out for about 8 hours. Reassemble and see if this does the trick. If not, you might try replacing the internal battery. Hope this helps.

Try letting the camera set for a while with the new batteries in. I had the same problem, nothing worked after i replaced the batteries. I let it set for a couple of days and everything started working.
