Question about Goodmans DVD2100B DVD Player
My goodmans GDVD301R dvd recorder has stopped working . it has a loud noise like a fan running which when i looked inside is coming from what i think is a capacitor this capacitor is also vibrating a lot .Is this at fault and in need of replacement or is something else at fault causing this. the part in question is all black and has nothing on it apart from letters jbe.hope you can offer some advice
Hey there cyclonesid, capacitors look like little batteries, and have a shiny flat top with perforation lines on it. If the capacitor is going or gone, this flat top begins to peak and sometimes show points of corrosion. jpe is associated with thermal fuses which are used to protect devices from excessive ambient temperatures. These are not expensive and relatively easy to replace (if required) by a professional. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
