What do I do with an E2 error?

I have this problem in which my Panasonic player won't play my newely burnt cds or my brand new cds. It plays my older cds and older burnt cds, but not my newely burnt and newly bought cds. Got any ideas?

I have a 2001 Honda Crv, the cd player keeps ejecting CDs before it has the chance to load them. The radio works fine, and I gave tried burnt and original disc CDs. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Are these CDs that you burned yourself? Older CD players won't recognize the audio file format of this kind of recording, only the established file format that typical retail CDs have used for years. In recent years, CD players have been developed to recognize more file types than just the old format; but with an older player like you have in your car, it wouldn't recognize what you were trying to play, as if you put a DVD in. It balks, and spits it out. You can burn CDs with the correct file format, you just need the appropriate software or file translator.

My stereo was working just fine, playing all of my cd's easily. Then all of a sudden one day, it won't play any of my cd's. I keep getting the E2 error everytime I put in a cd! a brand new cd.. E2. I know...

The laser beam at the tracking head may have been disrupted. That means the CD's are just fine, only the read head will not function. Unfortunately, the cost to repair is more than an replacement. Get a cheap $20-30 portable CD/DVD player at Walmart.

Brand new, won't play dvds but plays cds

HELLO

I would advise you to return the unit to where you bought it from and get an exchange unit. There appears to be a laser problem here - the DVD laser is defective - that's why you can only play CD's! (:-)

Error 1 comes up on screen when cd played panasonic rx77 cd and cassette player.has active screen.

Don't know if this will help, but with my panasonic CQ-C8300N there are 4 error messages, all to do with CDs.

They are as follows:

CD E1 - Disc is dirty, or upside down.
CD E2 - Disc has scratches.
CD E3 - No operation by some cause! - see your dealer.
CD E4 - The file is not readable.

From my panasonic manual.

CMT-BX1 won't play CD's - "No Disc"

If they're clean (i.e. not scratched up or dirty) store-bought CDs (burnt CDs can be iffy in some players), then yes you should return it.
