Photo printing when printing a photo from my computer, the photo paper comes out saturated in ink. Just a black blob dripping with wet ink. It worked fine just a couple days ago.

Thank you for responding. Yes, the black tube is in place. Nothing looks out of place. Printing text is fine. Text prints fine in all colors. Just photo printing is a black blob the size of the photo that I am printing.

open the cover to view the ink cartridges, if you can move the inks and heads to the left of the case, if it will not move then turn it on then wait for it to come to the middle then turn it off. on the very end; where the heads sit when not in use there is a white plastic part, attached to that is a plastic tube black in colour. is this attached if not do so. im not an A+ expert on these printers but this maybe your problem. any other guys wishing to spread wisdom please do so.

What program are you using to print out photos?
Try to take the ink cartridge out and put it back in.
Go to this link, instructions on how to replace ink cartridges

And then try to print. If you have the same problem, try to use another program that you can print pictures from.

You need to start with photo glossy paper that's designed for an Epson printer. HP paper may not work well, and some other papers don't work either. Try some Epson paper, and that should work fine.
You can also try other paper settings, such as "transparency" or "matte paper", as the paper setting governs how much ink is laid down. I think getting the right paper is really what you need, though. Ink "puddling" is a common Epson complaint, and it's almost always the paper.

Well, it would be good to know why the photos are not good quality... like blurry or bad color or? Are you using a good paper? I have great luck with Canon glossy, and love the matte paper from Staples. Matte is actually easier and all around better color saturation, I find. I guess that you are using too much saturation of ink... see if your dialog box for printer options has a way to make saturation less intense. Also, I assume you are using the same dialog box to choose the type of paper. That is important, since different papers absorb ink at different speeds and amounts. I hope that helps... keep trying!

Ink saturates the photo paper causing blobs of wet ink to ruin the print job.

Remove the cartridges. After this, remove the print head unit. Take some soft cotton tips and alcohol. Clean the print head unit until there is no ink on the lower end of it. Dry the print head of so that no alchol remains on it. next replace the print head and cartridges in the unit. Run the printer through a cleaning and alignment then print a test page.

if the problem persists, you can contact kodak and get a new print head from them. Sometimes you can get one for free, other times you may pay 1/2 the price of the printer. Having the print head seperate is how the ink for these are so cheap.

If you aren't currently, use the cartridge that the printer's manual says is for photos. Photo paper requires a different kind of ink.

In this case what i would request u to do is....... Take out both the catridges from the Printer......... Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry........... Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out....... Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds...... Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel.......... U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........ Now do the same procedure again.......... Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge................. Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel.......... Know insert both the catridges inside the Printer......... Now it should work if still it doesnt work........... This can be a problem with the camera itself...........

Lexmark Z715 will not print but computer says it is printing

The Z715 needs a #50 black ink cartridge and a working color cartridge to print. To check if there ios ink coming out of your black or color cartridge touch the bottom of it to a paper towel and if you see a solid black blob or 3 blobs of Yellow, blue and red for the color then your problem is else where. If U are printing stuff from the internet sometimes the printer will try to use the color cartridge to print this so even though the black is working it comes out blank if the color is dry

all the dx /cx range do this when printed on the high quality settings you just have to let ink dry about half hour or use a lower seting when you print on gloss paper hope this helps

Epson 1400 wet black blocks of ink output

When this happen it means that your Fuser assembly and printer interior has toner contamination and build up. You can replace your fuser or run some more test print. Usually, the printer corrects itself.
