Hello,

this problem is usually common with portable DVDs.

The fault is from the flex that connects the screen to the main board.

Fault also usually comes for screen board and the screen itself.

I would advice that you take it to a repair for checkup so that the problem would be fixed.

This problem is a common one.

I wish you the best and take care

I've had a rca model l32hd31yx12 and recently began to get white vertical lines after a minute they fade but certain screen changes like volume adjustments and the lines come back and fade again same thing...

Sounds like the power supply has filtering issues, in other words bad capacitors. its best to have a tv shop take a look at it. they shouldn't charge you. good luck

White screen !!

Completely white? No icons or "sad" ipod symbol?

Static buildup will make the ipod screen pale white/grey. If it were a black screen, I'd say update and reformat but static kills the unit.

Blank white screen

Try using some alcohol to clean the contacts of the card and leave some on and reinsert a few times - leave to evaporate and try again - sounds like dirty contacts!

My ipod nano has a white screen

Try this - it at least seems to have fixed the same problem, at least for now, with my 2nd generation Nano:

1. When you see the white screen, hold down both the Play and Select buttons together, pressing the Play button a little bit before the Select button.
2. When the white screen goes to black, release the two buttons almost simultaneously with the Select button released slightly before the Play button.
3. Hopefully, if done with the right timing, you should get your normal screen back. If not, try switching the Hold on and off or changing the starting mode by listening through headphones to see if it is playing or not.
4. Once you have recovered the screen, plug it into your computer to sync without turning it off and perform a complete sync. After I did this my Nano stayed in the normal screen mode. Before I had done this step, it kept reverting to the white screen.

One more thing to try if this still doesn't work is to first try restoring the Nano completely through iTunes.

I'll be interested to hear whether my solution works for anyone else.
