the bridge rectifier is on the board found in the bottom of the machine on the right hand side when viewed from the rear of the machine
disconnect from mains supply before touching anything inside
disconnect the power first
then remove top cover
using a digital test meter carefully check the on/off switch for continuity using the ohms setting if you do not have a digital meter a test light will work fine too
my machine had this fault and the power switch was open circuit on the live side of the switch fitted a replacement machine working fine in about ten minutes
Just had that problem myself and it turns out the heater was faulty and needed replaced. Mines would go as far as filling up and as soon as the heater kicked in, it would trip the main fuse. Heater was replaced and all is working now... although engineer also found a seperate fault with pump, and will replace that in a couple days - included within the original Dyson call out charge - £99
open both doors, on inside of inner door are 2 brass screws, remove these and pull handle off, to replace just squeeze locking mechanism through same hole and replace 2 screws .easy.
