I've an Aqulaser C1100, with error message "B door open". I've change the switch but to no avail. Does anyone have any idea how to rectify this issue? Only thing seams to be left is messing with the chip board!!!!
There are two switches, so if you changed the one that was working....
Possible parts affected could be
- cover top
- cover fuser
- cover front assembly
- the switch
1) check the condition of the cover - top, front assembly and cover fuser closed?
2) on the cover top there is an "actuator", a plastic bit, which
presses down on the switch assembly top - is that plastic bit broken,
bent or deformed?
3) on the cover front assembly there is also an "actuator", check this
4) and of course same for the fuser cover
5) top cover, check the switch, disconnect the switch (P116-1) and
press/release it - does that make a difference. If not replace switch
6) same procedure with the switch (P115-1) for front cover.

Just solved the same problem. It is a very slight misalignment of the two rollers behind door E. I closed door E holding the vertical bar below the handle and just 'jiggled' it slightly from side to side, and it latched closed. Paper jam fixed, yippee!!
The sensor at the back of the printer is either stuk or out of position open the back of the printer and see if there is a little black lever sticking out if so check it for movement if it sticks yuo have to remove the back paper guide and reseat the lever in its correct position
cover "B" should be on the back of the printer. when you open the main back door at the bottom there is a little flap that will fall down, this is a sliht design flaw as you have to make sure that this is in an upright position before closing the main back door. from past experience its usualy hit and miss at getting it to work unfortunatly
Often, this would just be the sensor falsely thinking that the cover B is still open. You could try checking if the cover is slightly misaligned hence the tab is not triggering the senor/switch. Or try opening and closing and making sure that you hear/feel the latching of the switch.
Try to find the latch in the cover that presses a switch to indicate it is closed it is usually a small stick projection at the sides of the cover. Replace the cartridge it should fit snuggly then try it again.
