Hi, to connect LG gu220 to PC using data cable is easy.
Since there's a usb cable supplied with the phone, there has to be a software cd for file transfer that came with the pack.. install the software and it should work. in case you don't have the cd, you have to find the model number and browse LG's website to download the drivers and soft wares.
You can download the software from the below Link :::
software112.com/products/lg-pc-suite.html
If you're using Windows XP and you have a USB cable, then you should have to problem transferring the pictures. Just switch on the phone, connect it to the computer (via USB) and wait for all the "hardware detection" prompts to be completed.
Then go to My Computer and you should notice an extra drive E or F. If you browse the folders in that extra drive you will find your pictures somewhere.
Most phones always come with a CD.All you need to do is to first install the software by using the CD that came with it,then the PC can recognize it when u connect the phone to the PC then u follow the instruction on the screen. Its easy.
you don't realy need any soft ware as much what u need do is be sure its a phone that has a bluetooth and a pc that has bluetooth, if your pc does not have bluetooth get an external bluetooth from a computer accessory shop and install it on your computer then u can do what ever u want, send videos, pictures, musics e.t.c
This one is easy. Buy a memory card reader and do not use the camera usb cord. A card reader will always be the easiest way to transfer photos from memory stick to PC.
Hi!
Use iSync (included in mac OS) in order to syncronize your phone with the mac and transfer files through BlueTooth. No additional software or cables needed.
If your camera uses memory cards get a cheap usb card reader. it's faster and less frustrating. The computer will see the reader as just another drive to open, no soft ware necessary.
be sure you have Microsoft ActiveSync installed: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/default.mspx
once this is installed, then connect you phone and follow the steps to sync. Once connected, you should be able to browse the contents of your phone from My Computer (copy and paste files or whatever).
By far the best solution is to buy a memory card reader, If your PC is usb2 you will be stagered by the increase in speed.
if there are pictures on the internal memory you can use the copy feature to move the images to a memory card.
If you dont have a memory card get one also, the DX6490 will take upto 2gb cards, if in the uk mymemory has 2gb cards for 7.99ukp..
A couple of things to check is that the camera is the only USB device attached to the PC as some devices interfear with each other. and you may want to try another usb cable although its a kodak's own cable type so your unlikely to hve one spare from something else.
Beyond that, try reseting the camera (although im not sure if internal memory pictures will be lost) I dont have my test unit available and cant remember where/iff the dx6490 has a restet option, the other way to reset is remove the main battery for a few hours, if the clock is wrong when you re insert the battery its reset...
