Question about Canon LaserCLASS Fax 710 Printer

1 Answer

Canon LaserCLASS Fax 710

I have changed locations and am now using the Cable Company as my phone system and can't seem to get a dial tone on the fax or complete the sending of a fax. The phone line works for receiving and sending calls...I have tried both phone jacks on the fax and neither seems to work.

Anyone have a suggestion for what might be the problem and how to fix it?

Also, any suggestions on whether it's worth it to upgrade fax so it can serve as a printer?

Thank you....If you are familiar with this machine what would you charge to help me get this thing up and running for best use in home office to help with scanning, printing and multi-fax printing needs? I need to also reset the date and time on my machine.

Replace the line going into the jack, also try unpluging the power cord and plug it back in.

set the fax so you can hear dial tone... if no dial tone then check the fax line.... if fax line plugged in... plug it out of the fax and plug into a phone... if still no dial tone then change fax cable... if dial tone... then call your cell... if static... fax wont work call phone company... if you get a funny signal call phone company...

Change fax number displayed on outgoing faxes

You need to go into your "Function" key- do you have the User's Manuel- if not you can go to canonusa.com- I am a USA Canon dealer so i can only refer you to the USA site, go here down load the User's Manuel- I haven't done it in a while but, i do believe you need to go into the Function mode the display "Set-Up" then change output preferences , I think your getting the " Sent " request- trust me get the User's Manuel and read it this should solve your issues you can download it right from the canon Website

How to Add Speed Dial Numbers -- Can't find menu

The easiest way is to use the intranet interface. Enter the IP address of the fax machine into your web browser on your computer (on the same network) and you will get the interface. Select the administrator role (hopefully the password will still be blank), and then go to the address section. You can enter speed dial numbers there.
