Question about Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 Webcam
I am unable to install the WEB CAM on windows2003 server.
How to procede and where i can get the drivers
Posted on Aug 02, 2008
I have windows 2003 server and Windows Vista. The trick with windows is to unzip the program ( winsip or some other software) to a folder and go to device manager and update the driver and point to the folder with the software, The driver will be updated and you can use the cam but you will not be able to use the software that came with the cam.
The trick with windows is to get the ini files for the device.

I had the same problem and ***** found a solution. My guess is that MS just decided not to support Windows 2003 Server when they made the drivers for this webcam. It's a pretty poor quality cam anyway... I'd advise you to just sell it.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
