It is possible that there is a wire touching when the dryer vibrates while running. The dryer top on some models opens by inserting a screwdriver or other thin object into the seam between the dryer to and the front of the dryer. It will hinge open. There is a door switch with wires running to it. Sometimes these wires rub on the drum causing a short. Also check for other wires that may be touching inside of the back of the dryer. Your heating element could be going bad or there could be a loose connection with the wires going to the element. Also some models will trip the circuit breaker if a load is really wet. Check to see if your washing machine is not getting enough water out of the clothes.

You should have a 40 amp fuse or circuit breaker installed. If not this could be the problem.
The best solution is if someone can use an ammeter to check how much current the dryer is using. If it is higher than the manual or the label on the dryer says the amps should be, then there could be a number of things to look at. For instance bad element or loose connection, or an over loaded drum motor.
    I hope this helps.

Why does my whirlpool propane dryer light up, starts to heat then heating unit shuts I down, dryer keeps running, doesn't dry. Thermal fuse has continuity?

The "High limit" safety is an automatically re setting safety device.
It will reset after it cools down , I suspect the limit is bad due to short cyling from the vent tube being crunched or dirty or simply worn.

Maytag dryer MDE6000AYW keeps blowing the fuse in the panel box, what is wrong? I reset the fuse in the panel box and turn the dryer right back on and it will start right back up. It may or may not blow...

Bad breaker in the panel box.Loose wires at the breaker. Loose connection in the wall outlet. Loose connection at the dryer cord terminal. Bad cord.
One or more of the above.

I have a kenmore 80 series dryer that will not run

There is a thermal fuse located on the lint screen box. This will open if there is an over heating condition. Anything from overloading, stuck thermostats and blocked vents. If you find a blown fuse and do not correct the cause it will just happen again.

Dryer runs but will not heat. Replaced fuse and

your cycling thermostat needs changed too. the thermal fuse is your last safety measure that goes, which means your cycling thermostat is not shutting down the heat element once it detects the right temp hot air in the blower housing so it let the heat element glow until either the high-limit sensor shuts the heat down or the thermal fuse blows. Change the cycling thermostat and good luck

LER4634J got ''shocked'' and now won't operate

First, test voltage to be sure your are getting 240v into the machine. Sometimes there are to 120v breakers in the breaker box that have to be reset. Check to be sure yours are fully reset.

Will not start, door and wall plug in place in the past it went when i switched the switch in hthe fuse panel, but not this time. is there a reset on the dryer?

NO RESET ON THE DRYER,BUT SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE A PROBLEM IN YOUR FUSE BOX. IF YOU HAVE A VOLT METER, CHECK FOR 240VOLTS AT THE DRYER OUTLET. IF YOU HAVE 240VOLTS, THERE ARE A FEW ITEMS THAT WILL KEEP THE DRYER FROM RUNNING.
MOST COMMON FAILURE IS THE THERMAL FUSE LOCATED BEHIND THE BACK PANEL DOWN NEAR THE EXHAUST DUCT. IT USUALLY IS WHITE WITH TWO WIRES ATTACHED TO IT. IF IT IS BAD YOU WILL MEASURE 120 VOLTS AT THE TWO TERMINALS OF THE FUSE. YOU CAN JUMPER THE TWO WIRES TOGETHER, BUT MAKE SURE YOU AND THE WIRES ARE ISOLATED FROM EACH OTHER AND GROUND.
IF IT IS BAD , THE DRYER WILL RUN WITH THE WIRES JUMPED AND THE START BUTTON PUSHED.
REPLACE THE THERMAL FUSE.

My Asko T761 had the same problem, power button lights up but the LCD panel if off. This is not the fuse becuase I replaced with "new fuse replacement kit" provide by Asko but this did not solve my problem. All I needed to do was press the "reset button".

No heat

mcwilliams if you pull the over off the front of the dryer at the bottom you can see the gas burner assy. Put the dryer on time dry and start the dryer, you should see a glow from the ignitor, then hear a click, then the heat come on. In the auto dry mode, the timer advances along with the dryness level. No heat, No timer advancing. If you don't see a glow, there should be a thermosat on the heater can, see if it is tripped. If so if it is resetable, reset then try again. You may have a bad ignitor.

Not heating

It is probably a thermal fuse. Take off the back of the dryer and you will see it on the lint outlet tube. It is white and is 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches long. It has two leads coming out hooked to wires. To check it just pull one of the leads off, turn on the dryer and touch the wire you took off to the other one and the burner should come on. It costs $12 at a parts store.

My Kenmore 80 series dryer (64852) develops a buzzing sound while drying. Functionally it works just fine. However, after about 20min (this varies) of run time the dryer will usually begin to buzz. The buzzing seems to come and go for a short while and then becomes more constant. Then about 10min (give or take) before the dryer shuts off, the buzzing usually stops. It doesn't seem to matter what setting the dryer in on. (e.g. "Timed Dry", "Automatic Moisture Sensing") Often times when the dryer begins buzzing I can turn the dial back a bit and the buzzing usually stop for a short time. But it seems to pick up with the buzzing again before the dial reaches the same point where it began the first time. Also, because the buzzing remains fairly constant, and I get the impression that the thermostat is cycling things off and on like it should, I don't really think that this is an issue related to the heating element. Although I've been known to be wrong before. As far as I can tell it does have something to do with heat though, because the buzzing only seems to start after the machine has had time to run and warm up for a while and then stops during the last 10min when I assume the machine would be cooling down. Also, I keep the "End of Cycle Signal" in the OFF position all the time. When I have turned it on in the past it sounds distinctly different from the noise it make while drying. One more thing. The buzzing doesn't sound like vibrating parts to me. Thanks for any help you can give.
