I just bought a new gigaware earclip monoheadset with mic. the problum is i cant seem to get the mic working the sound works great but i just cant get that voice to work

Hello Mithmar hi, try setting the volume for your microphone, (i'm assuming you are using X P) to do this right click the speaker icon (or the mixer icon) on the lower right side of your screen, you will go to the volume controls section, goto options, then properties, select recording. check the microphone, then click apply/ok. On the mixer there is now the microphone slider. Test your microphone by loading the sound recorder program (start, all programs, accessories, entertainment, sound recorder, press the red button) then shout to the microphone, you should see wave patterns on the recorder, your microphone is working fine. at this point let me know your progress.

My Dynex webcam will not record sound. It use to but now it won't? What happen?

Likely the volume got turned down or muted.

Try right clicking on your speaker icon in your tray and see if the "mixer" window comes up. Check for muting and volume levels in that window for the different audio devices.

If you can't find that window, go to the SOUND icon in the control panel and find VOICE input controls.

My a205-s6808 toshiba laptop right speaker sounds bad. its like a hushing sound everytime the bass plays. it sounded great and then one day it happened. this is my bestfriends birthday present last year...

It may be as simple as the balance controls.

You can get to these by selectin the volume control mixer and double checing that they are set to the middle

NOTE these are not the main volume control ones but the smaller slder usually at the top or bottom of the mixer display depending on the sound mixer software used.

If it is windows 7 then double click the speaker icon and select mixer
now click on the speaker icon
select levels
at the right hand side are options for BALANCE and adjust as needed

Windows XP is as follows

ouble click on the volume control from the taskbar or sound options from control panel and the balance sliders are at the top above each volume control

After i record my voice with the microphone, it comes out 1 side

The Samson C01U records in mono, not stereo. This is why you hear sound coming only out of one (the left) channel.
