Hi there

those pics that youve saved are still there in the memory stick. the camera though, im no so sure if its retreiveable. even if you dried it, you said that it still wont work. what you can do for your camera is bring it to the service center and have it looked. your memory stick will work though if you cn\onnect it to a card reader/writer and have those pics saved to a media like cd or save it to your computer.

hope this helps.

My sony camera was drop in the sea water there is posssible to repair?

Highly unlikely that it can be repaired, salt water caused corrosion and will short out electronic components when the battery is connected.
I suggest you put your money towards a new camera.

My Sony Camera fell in the sea water, can it still be fix? How?

Salt water damage is very bad for electronic devices, especially if the device was switched on at the time when it was dropped into salt water.
The cost of repair if you can get someone to repair it would most like be very expensive.
I would recommend you purchase a new camers, it most likely be a later and better model.

Gud afternoon,,my sony camera model EXMOR R (DSC-TX1) has thrown into the water, what should i do now?

1. Remove it from the water. 2. If it was salt water, throw the camera away. 3. Clear water? DO NOT TRY TO TURN ON THE CAMERA! 4. Remove the card and battery. Try to dry the compartments as well as possible. 5. Bury the camera in a bowl of uncooked rice for one week. 6. After that, try to turn the camera on with your fingers crossed.

It got soaked by sea water accidentally.I removed the batteries and the memory card asp. H append just less than 24 hrs back. What should I do?

Leave the battery door open!
Unless you open up the casing and dry out the camera as soon as possible the chances are that the camera will die.
Salt water will start to corrode the circuit board and get into the lens. It may start to work after a while but will fail soon.
If you are unable to open the camera try this as apossible solution, although I don't really recomend it. Use a hairdryer on a low heat and blow into the battery compartment ( it's the only opening if you can't actually open the case) the hot air should circulate through the camera and speed up the drying. If you can get it to power up - keep the lens moving with the zoom to keep it free.

Canon EOS 40D - Error 99

The 40D is not a water resistant camera body. It is VERY important to keep it from getting wet, even "just a little mist".

The first thing you need to do is remove the battery, and the lens. Then let the camera dry out in a warm and not-humid location for a few days. Do NOT try to power it up until you are 100% certain that it is dry.

The water at Sea World has salt in it. You may have salt in an electrical connection, even after the water has dried. You can try using a swab very lightly moistened with rubbing alcohol to dry the connections you can reach - the battery connection and the connections between the camera body and the lens (clean the connections on the lens as well as the camera body). Then let the camera dry AGAIN for at least 24 hours before you reattach the lens and insert the battery.

If these do not fix the camera then you will need to send it in to Canon for cleaning and refurbishing.

Repairing Sony H7

I HATE TO SAY THIS, BUT DROPPING IT IN SALT WATER IS ABOUT LIKE THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH ON YOUR COMPUTER. SALT WATER BEING VERY CORROSIVE WILL, IF NOT HAS RUINED ANY WORKING PARTS AND CIRCUITS IN THE CAMERA. DRYING IT DOES NOT REMOVE THE SALT AND THE DAMAGE WILL BE TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT REPAIR WILL BE ALL BUT IMPOSSIBLE. THERE JUST ISN'T ANY FIX FOR SOMETHING LIKE SALT WATER. I'M SURE THAT INSERTING THE BATTERY MOST LIKELY SHORTED OUT CIRTCUITS INSIDE THE CAMERA. THERE JUST ISN'T MUCH HELP HERE EXCEPT A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR IF YOU COULD FIND ANYONE WHO WOULD EVEN WORK ON A SALT WATER DAMAGE. WATER AND CAMERAS JUST DON'T MIX.

To salvage the pictures you could just use a memory card reader. As for the camera itself I cannot say, but by your description it doesn't sound promising.

Sea Water problem

You'll need to buy another camera. If it had of been fresh water you could dry it out and MAYBE it would work, however, salt water shorts out the electronics. (salt conducts electricity, blah blah blah.)You could try putting it in fresh water since you can't make it any worse, then let it dry out and see what happens. In my experience, salt equals death.
