Camera issues I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden I can't use my camera on my phone.....what is causing this problem? It just says camera error or video error.....

The Camera will turn off or will not allow selecting the Movie Recording option when the Battery power is not enough. Please make sure that the Battery is fully charged. Make sure that the battery inserted is NPBG1. You may also try cleaning the terminals of the Battery pack. If the issue persists, try using a different battery pack. If the same happens again, service may be required.

hi ian. this is not a normal camera operation. usb connecting screen should only appear during camera to computer connection. so if your using the camera and this happens intermittently it would indicate that there is a mulfunction inside the camera that's causing this issue to appear all of a sudden. professional repair may be needed. but you can try these following t/s steps: initializing camera (see:p.75 of the handbook), power reset (remove power source incl. battery and leave cam w/o power for a minute), or check multi-connector port for any grounded or broken terminals. hope this helps. thanks:)

Please check your memory card storage also check your phone memory. This may happen because your memory is full

my advice is to throw it away and go buy a better quality camera.....seriously. I bought one of those cameras and traveled to Brazil......same thing happened to me. When I returned to USA and inquired about this issue, the warranty was out by 10 days, and it would cost more to fix the camera than I originally paid for it. I was P.O'd...

the firmware might have got corrupted this might of happened due to virus attack or due to sudden removal of the battery when the phone is on or due to sudden switch off of the phone when the battery charge was low ...

this firmware problem can be solved by giving the restore factory settings(reset) ...
after this your problems will be solved ....

if the same problem persists then you must take your cell to flashing .....(there is a less chance to do this , 99% sure your problem will be solved in the previous step only )

first, maybe lost contact on your camera connection internally. try opening your phone and check connections.

second, camera fails.

third, camera ic is defective...

 

try have it repaired to service personel.
