Question about Brother Multi-Function Center MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printer will copy - will not print

I have a MFC 240C for a Mac that has stopped printing. I can still make copies but it will not print any documents. I replaced the USB cord with one that I know works. The cartridges are not empty (as it still copies). Please give me some ideas of what to do next.

Thanks

How do I do double-sided printing on MFC-240C?

Flip the copy over and reinsert into paper tray and then copy the second side of your original. This is not a duplex model.

How to make duplex copies with a Brother MFC-240C printer

The Brother MFC-240C is a well-performing multifunction color printer. There is a lot that it can do, but one limitation it has is the inability to make double-sided copies. If you need to make a duplex copy of something, you can do it manually by re-feeding the paper once you've copied the first side.

After the first side of the page has been printed, let the paper sit for a minute or so to make sure the ink has dried. Then, put it back into the paper tray on the top of the stack. Make sure the back side of the page (the side that has not been printed on yet) is facing down, and the lead edge of the page (the edge that was fed out of the printer first) is facing toward the inside of the printer, rather than toward you.

Once the paper is set, push the tray back in and print the document or image that you want to appear on the back of the page. If you are printing multiple pages, position the paper so that the page you want printed on first is on the top of the stack.

The MFC-240C was not designed for duplex printing, so you may run into some issues with it, especially when you are using very thick or very thin paper. With very thin paper, the ink may bleed through to the other side of the page. With very thick paper, you may have to let the paper sit for a longer time after the first side is printed, because the ink could take longer to set and dry.

This could be to several reasons:

a camshaft could be broken

purge station in disorder

ph not in correct position

Here are some clues:

pull papertray out and turn the paperfeeder by hand several times.

Open printer:
