go to tools and setting --> sound settings --> keypad volume...see if you see "KEYPAD VOL-EARJACK"...that means that your phone is stuck in EARJACK mode....get a wired ear piece, plug it in, make a call, and then unplug after you end the call....that should resolve your problem...
I had the same problem. Because it was the only thing I had on me at the time that would fit....I took a wooden matchstick and jiggled it around a bit inside the earpiece jack. Obviously the part that lights on fire was not inserted into the phone. Only the wood end was inserted. After a few tries, my phone beeped and went back to normal. could then hear again through the main speaker. For some reason my EnV decided to think the earpiece was in when it hadn't been for a week. This matchstick method seemed to fix it and I have not had any problems since. You may just want to insert the actual earpiece headset in and out a few times until you get it to go back to normal.
It is an earpiece problem. The terminals might be soiled, oxidized or loose. You need to disassemble the phone, clean and lift the terminals to ensure good contact. Check also the continuity of earpiece using an ohmmeter. Resistance should only be between 20 to 30 ohms. Otherwise replace earpiece.
you'll have to bring it to an outlet. that's a broken speaker or earpiece. I brought my phone back today, for a different reason, and the girl in front of me had the same problem and they fixed it.
though, you phone must still be under warranty, 1 year unless extended..
your speakers are broken and that just happened to my env. ive gotten it replaced 2 times because my charger port is broken and i cant charge my phone and then 2 days after that happen just randomly i couldnt talk or hear any of my calls, so im waiting for them to send me another one for free in the mail, but wont be suprised if it happens again
