Problem for Freezers

Generic problem for all Freezers

I left the Freezer door open and now it see...

I left the Freezer door open and now it seems like the freezer is not cold enough to freeze things.
It has been 5-6 hours since it has been closed.
Is it just taking a long time to completely cold or broken?
Model number is Hotpoint HSS25IFMC WW.
Is there any reset button?

- Thank you for your reply! I put the warm water last night and now it is cold but nothing is frozen. It has been 17 hours since it has been closed. What can I do?

- Thank you so much for your help. I just took everything out from the freezer and defrost and set the temp dial to 5. It is empty now and just put the ice thing to see how it is tomorrow. Hope this works! I will keep you posted.

Place a glass of lukewarm water on one of the freezer shelves. Leave the freezer door closed overnight. Check the water in the morning to see if the freezer has brought the temperature down. It takes quite awhile for refrigeration units to recover from heat loads such as door open for extended periods of time.

- You might have to start at square one. Pull everything out of the freezer, defrost the freezer manually. Put food back in the freezer and set the temp dial where you know it worked before. Leave the freezer door closed again overnight and check in the morning. If your food is not frozen you will have to call in a refrigeration tech to check the compressor and controls out.
