I had the same problem. Bought a CIT300 off ebay. Cisco/Linksys no longer provide drivers for this device. I'm running Windows 7. I downloaded a driver from Softpedia, says it is from Microsoft dated 7/12/13 version 6.1.7601.18208. It solved my problems. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: cit300 ip phone problem installation

Make sure to use the driver for Vista here

* Just look for CIT300 and download the 32bit driver.
* Make sure to uninstall the previous installation you did.
* Unzip the download file
* Run the setup_web CIT300.exe file and just follow the installation instructions.

Hope this helps! Goodluck!

Internet dropping on skype calls

Using your Windows Control Panel:

Adminstrator Tools -> Event Viewer

Click on System and later Applications, do you see any errors logged during the times this happens, if so what errors ("If you click on the errors you can get more details and copy/paste them here")?

Also, please check times after you reboot to see if any errors are produced when you system is restarting.

Are you current with ALL Windows Updates and any Updates from your manufacturers web site for your system and any attached devices?
Do you have all Windows updates and updates to your system and any hardware devices by the manufacturers?

If this is a USB device, please unplug it and plug it back in while Skype is running. Then go to your Audio devices in Skype and check both the basic and advanced pages, once the proper devices are selected, please click the "Save" button.

Also you need to check your internet connection while using Skype and while not using Skype. If it has drastic difference in speed You may need to upgrade your configuration. You can check your internet speed from www.ScanMySpeed.com for free.

I have an operating system Windows 2000 and when I installed e new version of Skype (5.3) the program refuses to start and show next message: Failed to get proc address for SetIdDirectoryW (kernell32.dll)....

System requirements for Skype 5.3
  • PC running Windows® XP, Vista or 7, both 32- and 64-bit operating systems.
  • Internet connection - broadband is best (GPRS is not supported for voice calls).
  • Speakers and microphone - built-in or separate.
  • For voice calls recommend broadband connection with 100 kbps down / 100 kbps up.
  • For group video calling everyone on the call needs Skype 5.0 for Windows or Mac or higher plus webcams, and at least one person needs a group video calling subscription. For best quality we recommend you use a high-speed broadband connection of 4Mbps down / 512kbps up and a computer with a Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz processor. As a minimum you'll need a high-speed broad connection of 512kbps down / 128kbps up and a computer with a 1 GHz processor.
Note :Please consider in Processor, RAM, VGA and harddisk. those the main thing to decide whatever Skype 5.3 for Windows can be installed properly in computer system or not. If one of those minimum requirements can't be achieved by your hardware, please don't even try to install Skype 5.3for Windows.. Leave comment if you have something to ask!!

Windows drivers

Windows Xp PC ran Logitek web cam perfectly on Skype until PC was upgraded with MS Media Player 11 now when Skype is selected the PC reboots! Skype recommended updating all drivers. Windows searched and this was done fine until the Realtek Audio driver was replaced when message Code 10 fault came up and there was no audio at all on the PC. Audio returned when I reloaded the Realtek Audio off of the original Gigabyte motherboard CD. Audio for all programs is fine except Skype where reboot problem no exists. Help would be appreciated.
