While I usually do driver downloads from CNet, this seems to be what you are looking for.

Netbook connects to wifi but not to an internet page

Make sure the wireless icon does not contain a yellow ! on it. Also hen connected to your wireless make sure you are getting a vaild IP address.

Window Button > tpye CMD and press enter > type ipconfig and press enter. If this is a home network it will typically start with 192.168.X.X. The first X will be your network ID the second is the host ID which should be unique to your computer on your network. If you get 0.0.0.0 or 169.254.X.X with a subnet of 255.255.0.0 then your DHCP on your router isn't working properly. Try restarting your router.

are you sure, you installed the LAN driver well. whatever it may be, go to the add and remove programme in control panel, uninstall the lan driver, reboot your system. Now install the LAN driver. it will work. If not, you have to replace your LAN card.

The monitor is just a display device, it how fast your PC is. I can easily surf the web for simple email and browsing the net with P3 1.GHz machine running XP PRO. You will need WIFI card for the PC.

Connecting my evo n600 c to my plasma

You will need an S-video (I'm looking at a 620c and the jack is on the far left back w/TV icon) - not positive that is on the 600c. Also need audio from the headphone to the the plasma. There is a good free DVD player called classic media player or something like it at downloads. com

Goto - Control Panel - System - Device Manager - Network Adaptors. It will list any network device installed. If its listed then Right click the wireless device then click properties. This will then tell you if it is working properly and if the driver needs updating. Also it will tell you if the device has been disabled or not,if so just enable it

Can't get internet access!!

The proper procedure in any router based network is to get the router on the network first. Plug it into the online cable modem and boot it up. Let it sit for a minute and then boot up wired computers one at a time. Use one of the wired PC's to get into the routers GUI (eg. 192.168.1.1) and see if WiFi is turned on and the permissions or wireless access is not being blocked by any security settings like MAC address or IP filters. It should be wide open. You dont need ANY drivers for a router on a PC unless they are USB drivers for a USB connection straight to the router, never seen one but I have seen a cable modem/router that had a USB connection. If your laptop has a USB wireless device, you need to load the drivers for that onto your laptop, but if it is using the built in ethernet port on the rear or a PC card ethernet card, you just need to plug the ethernet cable to the rear of the router and boot up. Make sure your ethernet device is enabled in windows and you should be good to go. After you gain access to the internet on the wireless device, get back into your router, prefferably on the wired computer and lock your network down with security measures like MAC address filtering, WEP, or other means.

Compaq evo n600c

I do believe that there is no wireless switch on that model. To enable or disable the card is done through software. Check your Device Manager to ensure it is enabled and or correct drivers.
