Hi, you may try to "Google" location of TFAL GV9110 and see if you can find the home website. They should have a PDF of the instruction manual and hyperlink to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the document if you are so inclined. Please advise if you find this helpful...good luck.

Make a solution of half water and half white vinegar. Fill up your iron and get it good and hot then let it sit a couple hours. flush out and repeat as necessary. Hope you find this helpful. Please give me a fixya rating If this works for you. It works very well as long as it is not completely filled with scale. Once you have it good and clean By a gallon of bottled water at the market and use that for your Iron and you will never have a scale problem again. I learned how to do this 20 years ago from a 80 year old woman from england. If it is really bad you can up the vinegar concentration but do not go higher than 2 cup to 1.

My Tefal is the same, steams for a while then nothing. I have tried to descale with no joy. I think it may be a problem with an internal thermostat that cuts out stopping the steam.

OK... so I have fixed my problem of NO STEAM, just lots of water coming out of the iron press plate itself... I had already cleaned the boiler, so I tried adding 1/4 tsp - 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda to the water and flushing it through. From what came out of the iron press plate, I would say the problem was caused by a build up of goop (technical term) inside the iron. Once cleared, the iron is steaming away again. Please note, u will need to have an old towel handy if this is ur problem, 'cos until it starts getting better, there is a fair amount of water coming out of the iron press plate. Just add the bicarb to the water reserve and use the steam buttons to bring the bicarb through. Do not attempt to iron clothing with the bicarb in the water!!! Carolyn ;)
