Sony DVP-NS57P all region (by 5 users)

so, i have a Sony DVP-NS57P dvd player and was told that it is a code free, all region player. but everytime i try to play another region dvd it comes up with the a "playback prohibited due to region limitations".
doing some research on this dvd player they say that it "plays all region dvd's" so now i'm confused.
IS there a code for this model? where would i find it?

Ho to make my DVD player Sony DVP-NS51P region free. I was told by the sony service center the problem is with the TV. I can view VCD in colour but can't view DVD in colour. Request help for this problem. Can anybody help please

Hello to all. I have the same problem with my player. I bought him in Brazil with a code for region 4 in. I found the fallow link to resolve this problem. From me it was not sucessful mabye for you . Good luck
With a disc on it and standby, I tried the Top Menu/Clear/Power, Option 2, Option 4, Input Count: 12450, Current Count 00000, I saw the 0 (apparently is region free now but not sure) in the display but the tray started to open and close permanently, so I had to unplugged the device from AC. I didnt try if now it´s region free but ASAP I will, and post the results.

i have the same problem of not playing DVD disks "Cannot play due to area limitations"

I'm having same problem with Sony DVP-DS57P and getting same error while playing any DVD. Please help me to unlock its code. How should I make my DVD player region free ?

I live in australia and recently bought a dvd from the USA. When the picture plays it is very grainy and in black and white. Waht can i do?
