You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP orVista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click onthis link to download the drivers: - http://welcome.hp.com/country/au/en/cs/support.html
1. Go to Device manager. Click on the + sign beside IDE drives. Right click on the dvd drive and select uninstall. Restart the computer. It should get installed automatically as it is a generic driver.
2. Go to run > type regedit > go to the following key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ Select the folder that says ( 4D36E965..... on the right hand side delete the file that says "Upper filters" and "Lower filters"
3. Go to device manager > clock on the + sign beside IDEATAATAPI Controllers > right click on Secondary IDE channel and selectuninstall. Do the same with Primary IDE channel. Restart the computer.
Hi there. Try this >>>> right click on the wireless icon in the corner of the screen, from the sub menu select enable. If that is not there look at the keyboard, hold down the FN key and press F2, a blue light should appear when activated. Please post back with the results.
try and lower the sound on your laptop and than close it. but if it keeps on happening, than try and emailing the company that the laptop is made from.
