Canon Problem Canon PIXMA iP1000 When I try to change ink cartridges the cartridge carrier will not move to the cenre of the machine when I try to open it. It remains stuck to the right hand side. How can I get it to move to the centre? HELP!!!. Well, you have to open the entire printer and reach out on that area to free the cartridge, it is caused by an obstruction on the gears of the head cleaner... remove that and have to wash it with water and then let it dry... place some grease to the gears so movement becomes smooth and last longer.

Keep me posted if you still have problems.

Your ink tank had run out. You can refill it through the bottom of the tank or just simply replace your ink tank.

My canon ip1000 printer show error "print head not available". but head already fix in place

The print head may not be proper electrical connection. Remove the print head and clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridge and in the printer with methylated spirits, replace the print head and hopefully this will fix the problem.
