I don't know the Operating system you are using but that version, as I remember, had a few problems. Suggest you check to A) make sure it's fully compatible, B) Check the supplier site (Symatec I believe) for issues...(under support), and C) If all else fails uninstall and reinstall. Use Ccleaner to clean the registry before reinstalling (free and you can't make a mistake) and also delete the application folder (typically under program files in an automatic install). Do the latter after using the windows add/remove programs capability. This should do it. If not bug me.
Tango.

When transmiting it connects ok it negotiate ok but at the trainning phase it disconnects, it receives perfectly. very strange

Try sending more then one fax to different recipients, otherwise it is not clear if the problem is specific to sending to one machine, or all fax machines. You also should post the type of fax modem you are using, if you are using a VoIP (Internet) telephone line, and the current settings in WinFax under Tools, Program Setup, Modems & Communications Devices. http://www.getfaxing.com/forums

I have a BSNL boardband connection, can you tell me how can I configured?

The internet connection that you use doesn't matter with WinFax, since WinFax requires a fax modem to send and receive faxes. You cannotuse your broadband modem to send receive faxes with WinFax PRO. http://www.getfaxing.com/forums

We cannot receive any faxes and get the error '

We've seen this error many times, and in most cases the problem is due to mismanagement of the send and receive logs. You probably have way too many faxes in your Receive Log (or, some corruption) You should read this

"No acknowledgement received on last attempt"

Usually, this error occurs after sending a page, or prior to sending all the pages of a multipage fax.

There are many reasons why this occurs, and it is not always easy to determine why.

You may want to read up on "types of modems" found in the following document
http://www.getfaxing.com/winfax/2009/06/25/first-time-guide-to-winfax-pro/

also, winfax settings could be incorrect , or you might not have the best configuration setup for your modem in WinFax.

Winfax sending and receiving

Do you have a fax modem? A "DSL" modem does not work.

WinFax Tools has many fixes for WinFax that are automated.

Any received fax fails

Problems receiving could be any number of problems. The first item I would check it to make sure no other devices are on the same line as the fax modem, such as a fax machine. This can cause a problem for a fax modem to receive faxes when another line is being picked up and listened to at the same time.

You need a fax modem. If you only have internet connection, you will not be able to send or receive faxes unless you subscribe to an internet fax service called www concordfax.com

1 Answer

Winfax pro suddenly faxing to wrong number

you have some options, so choose one.
  1. remove your fax
  2. configure your fax to answer later (maybe after ringing 10 times) and configure the winfax to answer before (something like ringing 5 times or less)
the problem here is that the fax answer and start receiving the fax and the winfax receive the fax signal at same time. check the winfax maybe you have the half part that the fax modem not has printed stored in winfax, maybe.

as I said, your better choice is removing the fax modem. even configuring like I said before, maybe the two continue to try to receive the fax at same time.

hope it helps.
