Question about Compaq (283983-001) Motherboard
I have a EVO D310 Compaq and I am geting the following error during the post: 511 & 512: cpu & chassis fan not detected, and press F1 to continue. The fans do work and I even tried replacing them and I still get the message. what can i do???
Also it must just be a loose cable, hanging inn such a way as to prevent the fan from turning. That's what I found when I got this error message, a loose power cable was resting against the fan blades. I just moved out of the way, and all was back to normal. (I had installed a new graphic card and RAM, and didn't notice cable interfered with fan when I put closed computer up.)
