Hi there,

Well If you simply push the power button on the front, does the stand-by LED turn off or start flashing? Anyway the G Board is definitely suspect. Try measuring the 5 volt DC stand-by power supply. That is best done at connector CN605, between pin 10 and cold ground (any metal chassis part).

If that voltage isn't there, carefully measure the voltage across resistor R607 ( not to any ground). You should get something very low, a couple of volts (if that much). If you get a couple hundred volts, that resistor is open, and that happened because transistor Q601 shorted.
Note. You need a ohms meter to check that all. please do not try this if you do not know how to do that.......
Please post comments for more help or information........

Good Luck!!

Thanks

hello AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly

Hi, 5 times blink of standby light shows that TV needs White Balance adjustment. No need to dump it, adjustment is also not so difficult. Let me know if you want to give it a try to guide you.

The problem you have is with the G1 board. The 17 volts is not supplied. Do you have a multimeter and know how to trouble shott following a service manual schematic? if not call a pro to assist you as this could be the G1 board, but to be sure, you will need to troubleshoot and check some voltages and follow circuit flow using a schematic diagram. If you can then let me know..
