60" Sony KDF-E60A20 - Red Light Blinks 6 times

I was watching TV and the screen went blank. I powered the TW off and retried it. It will blink GREEN (like its coming on) 4 times then it stops and goes RED. It will blink RED 6x on each interval. What could that be??

Thanks!
Jason

The problem you have is a failed thermal sensor. Depending on how tech savvy you are you can replace it.They have changed the way the thermal sensor looks but it isnt too bad too put in. Any repair shop should also be able to do this for you.

Part number is 1-910-006-44 Themal Fuse Sony Part.

Their could be a few diffrent ones. I carry the ones that work in the most sets if they got you the specfic one go for it..this will fix your problem though.

H ave a sony kdfe60a20, just replased bulb and fan for bulb, watched for about 2 hours then tv went dark. Now I have a blinking red light. blinks 4 times pause 4 times continuously until I unplug the tv....

Hi,
4 times red standby light indicates problem with exhaust fan that is not running for some reason.
Recheck fan that you replaced and make sure its connector is plugged properly and it running freely.
4 times red light blinking is fan error in this tv.
Thanks.

Blinking power light

Start by counting the red blinks. This will hopefully tell you what the problem is. Then check back with the number of blinks.
