Some companies like to put a small partition located at the beginning of the drive. It's around 4Mb. Just small enough for you not to be able to install another operating system. (nice uh).
Bottom line something went wrong on the hard drive. So put your system restore CD in your cdrom & start up the notebook. What you want is to repair the operating system. If you try to do a restore you might be able to go out & see a movie. And there is a good chance it will fail. Here is the link to your notebook:

Please post back if this did not help & well take this on from another angel!

Sounds like you require new drivers for the USB sockets. Only use Acer drivers, Microsoft are not trusted to work without issue.

I have connected my hp Pavilion dv6 to my panasonic p46v20z but no picture shows on tv. Is my pc not compatible?

Usually there is a key on the keyboard that must be pressed with the function key to alternate the video outputs. Usually it is Function F7 or F8. This key set must be pressed more than once to get the preferred setting. Each time it is pressed you will get one of the following. Out VGA, Out VGA and Monitor Screen, and only Monitor Screen.
Monitor Screen being the laptops display screen. Out VGA being the rear port on the laptop.
This is usually the reason for the issue you are having.

I accidently disabled the screen on my laptop its a windows xp. when i turn it on i cant see anything but i can hear it how do i get it to work again without having to erase my stuff in the laptop?

Lookv for a function key that shows an external monitor and a laptop, I hsave a Toshiba and mine uses the F5 key. Hold down the Fn key and tap the appropriate Function key. This might need to be done more than once to cycle through to the LCD, but eventually the screen should come back to life for you.

Not opening my laptop

Here's what you need to do to fix it: Find some way to get Partition Table Doctor (http://www.ptdd.com/download.htm) and put it on either a live boot CD or from a secondary hard drive installation. Once you have that, Scan the partition for errors and select fix boot... Then if you're running Vista get a copy of Vista Recovery Disc (http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/window... burn yourself a copy of the disc, and run it at the boot of your computer. Once the cd is loaded, click on REPAIR WINDOWS, select COMMAND PROMPT, then use this command: bootrec.exe /fixboot

If that doesn't work use: bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
and see if your windows boots.

IF you have windows XP, boot up with the Windows XP cd, select Repair (R), go into the command prompt (selecting which windows installation you want to modify) and then type this command: fixboot c:

See if your computer boots now.... The important thing is to try to repair your boot which has been deleted or corrupted, that is why it gives the error: err2err3

Try different recovery tools like Table Doctor http://www.ptdd.com/ in conjunction with your recovery cds (windows xp installation CD and Windows Vista Recovery Disc)
