If you look at the door of the CDRom player, you will notice a very small hole. Insert a straightened paperclip into this hole and press. The door should pop open.

Unable To Eject DVD From DVD-ROM Drive With The Eject
The DVD-ROM drive will not open to release the DVD when the button is pushed on the drive. RESOLUTION:
  1. Shut down the program that you are installing or running that uses the DVD-ROM drive.
  2. Wait 10 to 15 seconds, and then open the DVD-ROM drive by pushing the eject button on the DVD-ROM drive.
  3. If the DVD-ROM drive door still does not open, do the following:
    • Insert a paper clip or small pointed object into the small hole near the button on the DVD-ROM door.
Gently push in the paper clip until the DVD-ROM door opens.
    • Remove the CD from the drive.
To prevent the DVD-ROM drive from exhibiting this behavior again, follow these steps:
  1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.
  3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Device Manager tab.
  4. On the Device Manager tab, double-click the CD-ROM category.

How to open the disk drive

Open the Computer folder in Start Menu, select the DVD Rom Icon, right click, select Eject. If a DVD or CD has exploded inside remove DVD Rom and open the DVD case. Sometimes if you open the front case door cover and access the DVD/CD drive door you will see a tiny hole to insert a open paper clip that will open the tray.

I emachine dvd rom/burner won't open how can i open it? but before it really do not play any dvd and then now it wont open.

If the door on your CD/DVD drive will not open when you push the eject button (on the front of the drive), Click on Start, My Computer, and Right Click on your CD/DVD drive. Then Click on Eject. If the door still refuses to open, you can insert a paper clip into the small hole on the faceplate of the drive and push it in until the door opens. If the door continues to refuse to open in the normal manner, you will have to replace the drive,

CD in stuck in the computer and I can't get it out using the eject button. How do I get it to come out?

hi,
its too simple. you dont need to worry.. Check the front side of the CD ROM. you will find there one small hole. Now just take a thing, which is around the 4 to 6 inch (min is 4") long and can pass through that hole (for eg. take medium size U pin, and remove all bends and make it straight or long needle) Now insert this equipment in that hole and press. your ROM will eject...
Hope this has helped you ... Thanks....

CD ROM

If the drive door sticks after you have used the paper clip to open it, look under the tray at the drive teeth (if any). Apply a liberalm coating of general purpose grease to the rwo inches of teeth at the end of the drive tray nearest you and close the drive door again. Open and close a few times to see if the door is now free. This worked for me on my Dell Inspiron 3100. Try it.

The cd-rom door not open

Sir,
You have encountered a problem often seeen in LG models. It could have spontaneously generated or as a sideeffect of recent servicing. It is difficult to correct. so an alternative way is use a pin to force open the door.
On the front panel there will be a small mm hole through which insert a straightened paper slip to force eject the door. once door is out a little. pull it or use button to fully take out the tray.

For future, always keep a cd rom inside. that will probably let you eject the tray automatically. Problem occurs usually only withthe empty tray. good luck

Cd-rom/dvd-rom door won't open

Hi!This is not a big problem...All you have do is take a pin, needle or something and just insert it into the small hole near your cd-rom drive..try this repeatedly while pressing the eject button..If it doesn't work you will have to unscrew the two screws on the right of your keyboard..doing this will give you the access to the cd tray and you can remove the cd and put it back together..
