Acer crystal eye webcam not working
Hi,while skyping my web cam doesnt work.I tried opening the programme to adjust setting,but that wont open either.what can i do?thanks Denis

Dear gentlemen,
Please update the driver if necessary at Control Panel, System, Device Manager, Imaging Devices/Human Interface devices, Insert the CD driver click update at top menu level and browse for it. You can also check at the manufacturer's website for any updates. Since this problem occurs in different manner or complex due to other system faults, please scan viruses and spysweepers. Free AVG is good enough and demo version of Spysweeper is fine enough to check and guard for a month. Hope this helps.

I followed this pattern - Control Panel, System and Maintenence, System, Device Manager.
Once you get to this page you should see an alert symbol next to the Acer Crystal Eye Webcam, under the Imaging devices tab.
If you double click on the warning it should bring up another sub-window giving details of the webcam. Then click on the drvier tab at the top and click Update Driver. I clicked on automatically update and it worked straight away after that!

when on msn chat when trying to start up the webcam it says it can not start, i need to check its not being used by another programme and try again. Its not being used by anthoer programme that i know, but did only get the laptop about a week ago

I was using my webcam and all of a sudden it said that it was deleting the file, i dont know how i deleted it and i cant find the programm anywhere, not even in my trash can. ???

Webcam was working on my Acer One, but now system says camera cannot be found. DSoesn't show in My computer. Add camera in control panel does not find camera driver of that brand. Tried reinstall drivers in acer empower ctechnology feature - but no use.

Simplemente no funciona. Acer aspire 5920. Cuando se configura el computador, el programa no la instala. Lo he intentado varias veces y es el mismo resultado,no funciona. No tiene sentido cambiar de computador con camara incluida, si a la fine uno queda con un equipo peor que antes.

i can open up my acer webcam but it will only take pictures i can't figure out how to use the webcam. i can't adjust the brightness or anything.

I click on my acer webcam icon to take some stills and microsoft windows pops up and says i can run this program want to search web for problem i hit yes and it doesn't find a prob.
