Question about Panasonic DVD-RV41 DVD Player

Trying to Install

Hello, I am trying to install the Panasonic DVD-RV41 DVD Player and I think I am running into some basic problems. First off I am replacing a VCR with this and I had my cable routed thru the VCR. Also, I have only one outlet in the back of my TV that only allows for a cable only connection. Since I removed the VCR I had to connect the cable from my cable box to my TV directly and therefore have no more outlets in the back of my TV.

I tried to use the red, white and yellow colored cables that came with the DVD player and hooked them up to the back of my DVD player and cable box. I am pretty darn sure that my hook-up is incorrect.

Also, according to the directions, it states to hook up the DVD player directly to my TV. Not sure if that is going to be possible since the only jack in the back is for cable hook up only.

I look forward to a response and than you in advance for your help!

Do you have the red, white and yellow hookups on the back of your TV????? If you don't then you need to get an RF Modulator. You can buy one at Walmart. Older TVs don't have the red, white and yellow hookups. You hook up the RF modulator with a short cable to the cable outlet on your TV. Then you plug in your DVD player to the RF modulator. You also plug your cable for the TV into the RF modulator. It really is very simple. Directions are included with the RF modulator. You will need a short piece of cable also.

DVD player. NV-VP32 shows F09 error. No buttons are working. Have unplugged and waited 5 mins then re-plugged and it still shows F09 error.

Hello

F09 indicates electrical overload. If you've got some basic soldering skills, you might open the case and check for a ruptured capacitor and try replacing it. Repair costs range about $50 a hour, plus parts, but parts usually only add another $10 or less. Check with a repair shop and see what the usual cost is, on average.

Filed under: Tech 2 weeks ago my Panasonic DVD-RV41 DVD player showed an error HO2 which more or less means the unit is shot. The problem centers round a spindle issue that is a known design flaw. Basically what happens is that the spindle gets warm, expands, and is then pushing on the top of the player .

When i load a DVD several clicks are heard then unable to read is displayed everything seem to be working ok.

Hello,

how long have you been using the player? Does it play VCD and Audio disc presently?

I think the reason your player is not reading the DVD plate is because the lens (laser) is weak.

You need to have it cleaned with lens cleaner and try again.

Take care.

Hello! i have a samsung dvd vcr combo. 4 yers old. the vcr eats my tapes and pic is jumpy. what can i do to fix?

HELLO

You have a Tape Path problem here. There a few causes but I think the main one is the pinch roller may be worn/mis-shaped or even dirty. You need to have the tape path cleaned totally first and to try the deck again (has it been serviced/cleaned in four years?) If it still has the problem you will then need to have the pinch roller replaced.

There is also the possibility that the VCR deck may be developing a mechanical fault.

I wish you well with it. (:-)

Dvd npt recording

This usually means that at best the DVD lens needs cleaning, so use a DVD cleaning disc and / or air duster to clean it or that there is a serious error with the DVD recorder itself an it will need replacing. Unfortunately this series of Tosh machines have had many issues with the DVD reliability.

Panasonic DMR-E75V dvd problem

It may not be able to read the new format movies. Do you have any old movies to try?

Other than that, when I was repairing them at Sony, they are almost all the same.

A DVD read problem was usually a bad Laser Optic. Replaced thousands of optics between DVD players and Play Stsation 2's.

Down Under !!! I am Retire Navy and have been to Western Australia twice, 1978 and 1989. Great Place,
