I was told it was because of Microsoft updates and you have to download a patch. I did it once a while ago and it worked but now it's doing the same thing again and I don't remember where I found the patch. Still looking, but just wanted to let you know.

Keep the batteries out and try to examine the port where the cable plugs into. There are 4 metal leads on one side of the port tab and 3 on the other. They may be bent or crossed by debris

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Hello, My camera takes pix fine, but they will not transfer into my computer. The transfer via USB worked many times until now. I can hear the camera motor processing for the transfer, but nothing gets...

Photos from camera to PC

u dont need any software to download the photos to PC

Fast Option : take out the XD memory card from the slot and slip it in the mem card reader fitted in laptop and external alos available cheap

Normal Option : just connect ur camera thru the usb cable provided with the camera and connect the usb to pc and it will come up as removable storage drive in my computer u can then browse and copy the pics to PC , but if it doesnt work then check the settings in menu of camera ur camera have 2 modes of connectivity to pc one is webcam that is PC mode and choose the second mode that is for file transfer , u have to put ur camera jog dial to play mode to detect ur camera on pc

then u can also use Fuji Fine Pix Viewer further to copy and enhance ur photos if u like

pls rate me FIXYA for this help if u like

W380 goes blank when connecting via usb in files transfer mode

Finally I got it to work. I had to fully charge my battery as I had noticed that when i was trying before the computer was trying to charge the battery. Once I had fully charged the battery and then attatched it to the computer put it into file transfer mode it was really easy. Anyway I hope you have managed to solve your problem.

Install games to Sony Ericsson W550i Cellular...

1. Connect your W550i phone to your PC using the USB cable.
2. Use it in File transfer mode.
3. Go to it's Others folder on the Memory Stick that just appeared over at the My computer screen. (probably called PHONE_CARD or something similar).
4. Copy the .jar files from your PC to the Others folder on the phone's stick.

5. Disconnect your phone properly (safely remove hardware) and allow it to restart or return to Phone Mode.

6. Go to your files on your phone (File Manager) and go to Others. Select the file, click Install.

7. It'll ask where you want to install the file, either in the Applications folder or the Games folder.

Please let me know if this had helped you out. Please rate.

Greetings,

DarkNeogen
