Thanks guys for the info. I got a service manual and was able to restore the settings. However I'm still having a problem with my TV. The problem is the TV has too much yellow. Most of the whites are very yellowish and I can't get the brightness any higher. I have seen others had a problem with not being able to adjust brightness due to the need to change the lamp cooling liquid. I'm not sure if all lamp cooling liquids are the same and have found a place to buy some, but I don't want to use the wrong kind and mess up the TV. Here is the one I found online, anyone have a suggestion on this? http://www.mcminone.com/product.asp?prod...

I need a service manual and owners manual for our Philips Rear-Projection TV. We need to replace the "blue bulb" and need to see how to do that as well as any information on how to purchase this item.

You can get the service manual for your set for 12.99 at the following link. They will also contact you to see if you would like it emailed rather than mailed after purchase. I have used this service many times they have great service manuals and offer free support to help with diagnosing your set. Here is the link.

Phillips/Magnavox 9P5544C102 white raster and shuts down

This denotes a problem called blooming the horizontal lines you see are called retrace lines this is caused by the increase in anode voltage which could be caused by an increase in HV section current which trips the overcurrent protection dircuit and turns the TV off.If you do not have electronics experience I would suggest taking the set to a TV repair shop.
