After the dreaded "Switch" I lost nearly all free HD channels. Prior to the "Switch" I got roughly 40 HD channels. Now I have 2 that work. Can anyone not named Dubya explain this?

I had a similar experience. The way I solved was to go back to the set-up and have the channels get re-scanned in. Even though I had gotten channel 22-1 originally the frequenciy must have slightly changed with the switch over because once the television rescanned it in it worked just fine.

SETANTA

If Setanta shows up as a channel, but is just not accessible, then it's not a scanning problem.
In this case the problem may be with the viewing card or CAM not inserted correctly. The CAM needs a good push to insert correctly. Also, it is not obvious which way round the CAM goes into the TV. Try both ways. There will be hard resistance if the CAM is the wrong way round. If there is not hard resistance, then it probably needs pushing in a bit more.

If Setanta doesn't show on the channel list, then the problem is more likely to be to do with your signal.

37" Polaroid LCD TV No signal appears when select channel

I was having same problem, and think I got lucky and found fix.

Try unplugging the TV and waiting 30 seconds, then plug back in.

You will likely get blue screen with "No Signal".

Go to Menu, then scroll down to "Setup". Select "Factory Reset" then hit "Yes."

This did it for me. Wish you all luck.

LTV-40w1 HDC Westinghouse TV

I had the same issue. I just bought this tv. I went to source on the side of the tv pushed the input button til it went to YPbPr1 and the screen came up. My HD cable box is a little old so I'm using that instead of HDMI. But if your using HDMI just keep hitting that button til you see HDMI and it should work.
