Question about Gaggia Classic Espresso Machine

Leaky Gaggia Classic Espresso

I have had a Gaggia Classic Coffee espresso machine for about six years. I t has always worked well. Today, the machine started leaking water and steam from the shower head when I turned it on. It kept dripping for 5-6 minutes while warming up. It can not build up any steam pressure. When the steam is turned on and the valve opened, very little steam comes out of the steamer and more is leaking out of shower head. I think maybe a seal needs to be replaced. Any suggestions?

I have a gaggia classic. When I prepare espresso and turn it on, water comes pouring (leaking a lot) out of the part that has my ground espresso in it and the coffee never gets wet, just my counter tops and the steam does not work at all. NO pressure at all. Is it the valve? Where do I buy a replacement valve or whatever so I do not have to buy a whole new machine. My machine is about 5 - 6 years old

same problem here, water leaks from the front and does not reach the coffee filter which stays dry. Machine is very new, just about a month old, always worked well so far.

water drips from steam wand, and steam leaks out until machine has cooled. Steam knob seems to fail to close. We lose alot of water onto the countertop and floor. I bought an assortment of Gaggia gaskets of different size but need to know how to open up the machine to replace the rubber rings and small gaskets.

I have a set of gaggia gaskets of assorted sizes. How do I open the machine to access the steam knob or steam wand to replace any gaskets related to the steam. I have apacket of 6 different Gaggia gaskets of different sizes. I have the parts, but how do I open the machine?

I have a Gaggia classic and want to use pods. I've got Illy ese pods and the right (one hole pressurised basket) but still get just brown water. Can anyone help please?

I HAVE BEEN USING THE GAGGIA CLASSIC FOR 34 YEARS AND I ALWAYS BELIEVED THIS MACHINE IS BEING DESIGNED FOR SPECIFIC COFFEE QUALITY. THE ILLY ESE PODS ARE NOT FOR THIS MACHINE, TRY LAVAZZA PODS INSTEAD THAT IS SHAPED PERFECTLY WITH GAGGIA FILTER HOLDER FOR PODS.

After using my gaggia classic for a few years it has now stopped working properly. Only a tricle of water is now coming out Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you have a calcium (lime) build-up. Try a commercial cleaner such as CLR, or run some white vinegar through the machine. It might take a few cycles.

Hi, my 4 year old gaggia classic coffee machine's steamer no longer works. The coffee bit still works fine, but when i twist the knob to let the steam through, nothing happens. Can this be fixed easily?

It could be that the nozzle is blocked, and or the steam valve is blocked. Try descaling machine, if that does not help then you might have to remove steam valve to make sure it is not blocked.
