The mios do accept 4gig SD cards but only wince5.0 will accept SDHC cards - so you need the c220b or later releases of the c220 (will say on the packaging and the device) as wince4.2 was replaced with wince5.0

There are now some more options for Miomaps 3.3 at http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=37 The Mio's will not use any SDHC cards ..(High Capacity) They will work with a older technology (Not Sandisk Ultra etc) Sd cards.. Ebay is prob your best bet here.. Pete

MY POI in Mio C220

The manual doesn't match the software :)

This has been driving me crazy too.

Answer:
You can't do it from 'cockpit' view.
Press 'Menu -> Home -> Map -> Bottom right corner button (to show 'route to', 'add via'...) and the rightmost button is 'Add POI'.

To get back to cockpit view, press 'Menu -> Home -> Cockpit'.

You have to find someone who bought a Mio C220 with europe maps on their cd that came with their unit. You can download map from their cd using a 1gb sd card plugged into your computer.
Or try Ebay.

C220 mio map upgrade victoria/australia. can you help

the c230 has the maps imbedded in the gps. Your CD that came with it has maps to dowmload to your gps through a USB cable. It does not have other countires.

Try this site though:

Map download

you need a cd with New Zealand maps. I suspect the cd you have has canada maps.
Call MIO and ask if they ever had New Zealnd maps.
