Here is the solution that will reset the count and allow your fully
functional toner cartridge (the one the printer tells you is empty) to
continue to work.
Open the front cover. Press options button. Press
the start button. Press + or up arrow button 10 times. Press set
button.
You have to do this with a long pause or the system will
reset and you will have to start over.
If your machine is a Brother Intellifax 2920, it does take a TN-350 toner cartridge. Maybe you were wanting to replace the Drum Unit instead, DR-350. I'll bet this info is useful, yes?
THE DRUM AND THE TONER CARTRIDGE IS IN SIDE OF THE MACHINE.OPEN THE COVER AND YOU WILL SEE THE DRUM CARTRIDGE,TTAKE OUT THE DRUM UNIT. ITTELLS YOU ON THE DRUM UNIT THE NUMBER DR IT IS SOLD IN OFFICE DEPOT OR OFFICE MAX OR STAPLES, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ONLY USE BROTHER PRODUCTS. GOOD LUCK BROTHER SR TECH
Remove drum unit. in front of the toner cart. there is ether a green or blue slide lever. move the slide 10-15 times back and forth. make sher the slide is all the way over to one side. reinstall drum & make a copie. hope this works.
dust on drum you mean? the drum is what holds the toner cartridge of your brother machine. you should clean the blue tab located on the top of the drum when you removed it from the unit. if it still doesnt clear the message,REPLACE the drum with a GENUINE BROTHER DRUM
Mitech, this shouldn't be a toner issue, you either didn't put the drum properly back in or the paper setup is not right. The toner has no connection with the actual paper. Take everything out, disassemble it, assemble it and put it back in properly until you hear a click.
