Question about Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher
My whirlpool gold quiet partner III came with the house I bought. Recently, tall classes or car/coffee mugs washed on the top shelf have "sandy" residue left over after a wash. I want to add a rinse aid (jet dry), but I'm not sure where to add it and I don't understand the 1-6 on the rinse dial. It would probably be helpful If I had my owner's manual, but that was not passed onto me from the prior owners. So, where do i put the rinse aid and do you think it will solve my "sand" problem? The sand is almost baked on when i take the glasses out so i have to soak and scrub them!
We had the same problem until we started using the little cakes of detergent with the Jet Dry Power Ball in the middle. Now it washes great. This after going through so much vinger and CLR to clean the coils!

Jalexandruna the lid you opened on the dispenser that has 1-6 is where you pour in the rinse aid. As to if it will help or not, this sand issue may be hard water. Try using a eviromentally friendly detergent which is high in Citric Acid. Or try running a dishwasher cleaner like Dishwasher Magic thru the dishwasher to clean this residue out. Hope this helps
