Question about Uniden TRU9480 Cordless Telephone
My previous model of Uniden phone was replaced because the base did not recognize the handset and consequently failed to charge. This was an incremental process that took several months before it stopped working. What happened was the red light did not go on when I put the phone in the charger cradle. After a little jiggling to get it seated right it began to work. Over time, it required more and more jiggling to find a connection. Eventually, none could be found.
Now, my new base unit is beginning to demonstrate the same problem. It requires a jiggle to get a connection. That's got me worried that the same forces are at work and it is only a matter of time before this system freezes up on me.
Is there something I can do to keep the connection between the phone and its base unit clean and functioning.
