Hey there mc 1, this message only appears on the monitor, when it not connected to a computer, or is not receiving any signal at all from the computer it is connected to. I suggest you have a faulty video card. I recommend you remove the video card and attach your monitor to to the onboard video port. You may have to make the adjustment in the bios to enable this port. If you need assistance with that step let me know. Good Luck!

There could be any number of reasons for this to happen. However, the most likey reason - assuming that it runs for a bit, and then shuts down - is that the heatsink/fan on the CPU is not working, or not installed properly. Once the CPU heats up to a certain point, it will shut down to prevent damage. Perhaps the CPU fan as gone bad, or is completely clogged with dust.

My computer is on but no picture. It says windows was not shut down properly

Hello Pattiaknight,Make a desktop shortcut to shutdown and include a switch that forces all open apps to shut down without warning.

Just right click the desktop, New, Shortcut, type:

Shutdown -f

Shutdown -f closes any open programs without warning.

Now instead of shutting down the usual way, just use that shortcut to shutdown. If the error stops it means some program wasnt shutting down properly on occasion.

Please let me know if you any further questions or concerns. Also please rate it if you like the answer,it helps alot.
Thanks.

Tip

Automatically Close Programs at Shutdown

When you shut down Windows, if you have any programs running you'll get a message box warning you that a program is still running. You then have to close the program and tell XP again to shut down. It's a fairly pointless warning—better yet would be if XP automatically killed the programs without issuing the warning. That way, you wouldn't get error messages and wouldn't have to close each individual application before shutting down your computer.
To have XP automatically close programs at shutdown, run the Registry Editor and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. Edit the AutoEndTasks key so that is has a value of 1. If the key doesn't exist, create it as a DWORD value and give it the value of 1. To disable it, either delete the key, or set the value to 0.

Shutdown warning this message keeps appearing on my tv screen about every 6 hours

Your tv timer might be set for it to shut down every hours. If you canot change it try a factory reset of your tv. If that does not help then you might have a bad signal board.

you can get parts for this tv at www.interliquidparts.com

I have an Insignia desktop computer with windows xp. Everything will be working perfectly fine and the computer will shut off without a warning or actually going through the shutting down process it's as...

The shut down might be caused by overheating - clean it thoroughly on the inside and raise the shutdown temperature setting from the BIOS.
Yes, the internet is not related and it has to do with how you connect - most likely you have a very bad line. The only ones that can fix that are the guys from your ISP - they must check your cable and the modem itself.

When I shut down my computer, I think that it is shutting down completly. All lights are off indicating that it is shut down. Then a small blue window will appear and will say "Entering Power Safe Mode"....

If you are turning off your computer by pressing the front panel power button, it is probably just putting Windows to sleep but not shutting the computer off. If your computer has Windows Vista, the default is to hibernate and not shut down even if you shut down through Vista. The "power save" message you see is coming from the monitor, which is letting you know it isn't getting a signal from the computer anymore but the power is still on. Windows will start up again from sleep mode if someone or something moves the mouse or presses a key.

The solution is to make sure the computer is actually shut down. In Vista you can do this by clicking the arrow near the power icon on the Start menu. This gives you the option of shutting down instead of hibernating. In XP, shut the computer down using the start menu shutdown option instead of the computer power button. Then the power will shut down completely.

Services.exe problem

I recommend you follow these malware removal protocols, at least up through step 4, and then if you're still having issues create a post with a request for help here, here or here, so someone can have a look at your logs and see what's up with your system. As you probably already know, if you google that error message you get a lot of hits, and without more info it's hard to isolate the cause, but scanning with MBAM will be a good start. If that doesn't take care of it we need more details anyway.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Hi,

To send messages from one computer to another download and run this exe on both computers.

You can copy to startup and fiddle around with the settings.

Source: http://www.tweakxp.com/article36917.aspx
Right click on desktop, create new short-cut.
Type shutdown.exe -i
Click next, type in name for your short-cut e.g. shutdown computers
Click finish.
Run the short-cut you just created. Now you can browse the network for computers to shutdown/reboot etc. or just type in the IP/Name of the computer.
You can even broadcast a message, and schedule the shutdown.

Shut down icon

That is a strange problem.
I will help you to create a shortcut on your desktop for that icon, whenever you need to shutdown your computer, just click that shortcut on the icon.

Right click on the Desktop.
Left click on New > Shortcut.
11e9ffd.png
In the Type the location of the item: textbox enter
%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s

The -s parameter is used to shut down the computer.

The following two parameters can be used with -s:
-f Forces running applications to close without warning.
-t xx Set timeout for shutdown to xx seconds.

The following command would shut down instantly.
%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -f -t 00

Click the Next > button.

02d9cba.png
In the Type a name for this shortcut: textbox enter
Shutdown My Computer (or some other name of your choice)

Click the Finish button.

Whenever you want to shutdown your computer, click the shortcut on your desktop that says ShutDown My Computer, and your comptuer will shut down the usual way, the way it used to shutdown.
