My 2002 mercedes m class the battery went dead now that it is running the stereo system is asking for a password.

this is actually a pass code, normally a four digit number, you should have in your possesion a card with this number on if not, you will have to take it to the main dealer who will have to remove the radio to find the serial number and put that serial number in a program to retreive the code for you, unfortunatly this is the onlt other way to do it, if you put the code in wrong 3 times it will lock the system completly makeing the unit a verry expesive door stop..hope this helps

Central locking key fob works from time to time but then will not

It is common for the battery holder in the astra key fob to snap the solder joints mounting it to the pcb. It is a little fiddly but it can be re-soldered.

Once the battery holder is reattached, the fob needs to be re-synced to the car which is done by putting the key in the ignition and turning it to ACC and then pressing one of the buttons.

No Power, need help asap!

Check your grounds! If you used any "scotch-locks" wire connectors (the kind that crimp to an existing wire to hook up another) get rid of them. have had multiple customers with issues with thoes things. remember the basic electrical circuit needs both power and ground to opperate correctly. Good luck!

Ford galaxy central locking problem

It´s probably a cable problem. There are two cables between the motor in the door, and the control center. In my case one of the cables where cut of do to to many door openings. Every time you uses the door the cable bends. In the long run it cuts.

1998 Mercedes ML320 Radio code instructions

does your radio ask for the code when you turn on the ignition key. If you see _ _ _ _ or **** you should enter the code using the pre set numbers for your radio, ie, first code should be entered using the first pre set key on the radio ( number one ).
Followed by the second code number being entered using the second pre set button and so on until all of the code is entered.
After entering the full code the radio should accept, if not enter code again and press the next pre set key following, ie, if the code is 4 digits, press the fifth.
Hope this works.
If all this fails most garages will set the security code for you for a small charge. Make sure you take proof of car ownership otherwise they will normally refuse to reset the code. This is to foil theft.
