Most likely you need 2 convergence IC's. Usually of the STK 392-xxx variety.

If you cannot converge the red and blue back to the green through the convergence menu, Then you have worn out convergence ICs you will need 2 of them at about 10.00 each. Takes about an hour to remove the old and replace with new ones, but also check the resistors right next to the ICs usually 1 or 2 of these burn out with the ICs. Let me know if you need more information.

Tv out of foucs

These procedures are from the owners manual, go into menu and then picture quality and then: Convergence The Convergence feature lets you adjust the TV’s three tubes. When the TV tubes’ images are precisely aligned, they create the color images you see on the screen. Over time, the picture can drift out of alignment (this is normal). If your picture seems fuzzy or has a yellow tint, using Convergence could correct this misalignment. Only one convergence is needed for all inputs, regardless of the signal format. Note: Make sure the TV has been on for at least 30 minutes (TV needs to warm up for best results) before starting Auto Converge or Red/Blue Centering. When you select the Convergence feature, a submenu appears with three options: Auto Converge Automatically aligns the projection lenses to self-correct color images. You’ll see flashing squares of color dance across the screen (this is normal). Note: After performing auto convergence, use the Blue Centering and Red Centering menus to fine tune convergence in the center of the screen, if necessary. Blue Centering Aligns the blue and green images to fine-tune the picture. Red Centering Aligns the red and green images to fine-tune the picture. Note: The ability to change channels is disabled when adjusting the convergence options. The TV must be tuned to a usable signal to converge the picture.

Does it take some type of gel under the lights, the colors are a little blurry

i also have this tv. i removed backcleaned mirrior, back of screen and lenses VERY GOOD. Then turned on tv go to convergence, sepaerate cross hairs then adjust focus on lenses. Then lenses rotate maybe about a 1/3 turn total by hand. Grab ring that houses lenses and turn until cross hairs are as clear as possible. This can be done with out help by watching inside of screen. red and green are adjustable, the blue is adjustablealso but i couldnt find blue cross hairs, maybe by covering red and green lenses the blue will show on screen. anyway when done and cross hairs are clear, lenses, mirror and screen are clean, you can adjust covergence and get a very clear screencleaning will also brighten pic. have you connected up correctly, have you selected correct EXTERNAL inputs, you do NOT "tune" a Channel to see picture, you choose external AV input on set. Must connect color to color. 3 for Composite Video AV.Yellow, Video, Red & White Audio. and 5 cables for Component 3 for Video , & 2 for Audio Blue, Green, Red, Also Red & White, Audio.

The color on the screen is green when I watch movies. How do I fix this problem?

Good day sir, your inquiry about the green lcd screen can be caused by several things. 1. The monitor/tv produces 3 colors, red green and blue, the tv mixes these three colors to produce the picture. a loss of red and blue produces this green screen. so check the cable, specially the red and blue jack of the component inputs, and the red and blue cable. 2. there may be loose contact on the signal cable. try using the video input instead of the component input. 3. the dvd player may have the problem, check the player component out jack. a loose jack port can cause these problem. hope this may help. thanks

Red and Blue slightly out of alignment

If constant all over the screen it is the static convergence that needs adjusting.
The green is not adjustable!
Move the red magnets with the blue covered with a piece of card to align with the green and then move the blue with the red covered to align with the green.

Covergence problem

your set has indications of several problems. red green and blue. indcate convegence issue. the fact that the picture is concave is a indication of totall loss of covergence power supply. the convegence menu missing idicate loss of some voltages from what know as the flyback.AND SHUTDOWN. indicate further problems. generally when convergence fails ..not always the set wont shut down. it could be a simple issue but further trobleshooting would have to occur to narrow it down.
