Just a word of thought. Make sure your remote control is not pointing at the TV. Ive seen this many times. A faulty remote control sending out random signals to the TV due to fluid spillage in the remote. Try keeping the remote well away from TV and see if it still changes channels. If not, check the channel up and down buttons on your TV. Do they feel faulty when compared with volume buttons etc? If so, you might have a channel button on the TV that is half stuck in. Hope this helps :)
Ether the front panel channel button is sticking or the remote channel button. take the remote out of the room.. if it still is changing channels make sure the channel buttons on the front of the set are not sticking. Spay a little WD 40 on them then wipe them off
It sounds like a stuck button or switch. What happens when you hit the channel DOWN, does it still keep scrolling down?
Is this with or without the remote?
Have you tried it with the remote and or the TV?
Let me know whether you are changing the channels with the remote or the buttons on the tv and I can try to give you a couple more suggestions. Mac =)
You may have a control button sticking either on your remote or on the front panel of your set.
I have run in to this on several sets. When this happens, some really strange things will happen including problems like you're having.
Sounds like you have a button on the control panel that is sticking in the "on" position.
I had set in my shop the other day and someone had gotten baby powder spilled into the buttons. I had to replace all the buttons (switches).
If a button goes bad these sets will go crazy!
I know from experience!
