My viewsonic keeps changing channels which makes it impossible to use. We've unplugged it and everything. once you power it on, thats all it does. it continueusly changes channels. please help

The first thing to try is to see if a button is stuck on the remote or on the TV.
Remove the batteries on the remote and see if that helps. If it fixes the problem, you'll need to replace the remote.
If that doesn't help, look close at the buttons on the TV to see if one is jammed on. If changing channels continually up, then check the channel up button on the TV, if down then check the down button.
Worst case, you might have to take the back off the TV and unplug the cable feeding the external button panel on the TV and only use the Remote (for safety, rememeber to unplug the TV while doing any work on it).

Volume moving on it's own

Either the key/button the TV or Remote is stuck. Just remove the batteries of the remote and try. If same thing continues, do vacuum cleaning of the panel button/switch after switching of the TV, removing the plug from the power outlet. If the problem persists, this might require attention by a qualified service technician.

Ihave spn 4235 plsama tv problem is keep scan channel and rase the valume by self also icanot use the remote control to use the tv for on and off just plug and unplug the wire power need help plz

First take the Batteries out of your remote control to see if the T.V. is still changing channels or not. If it stops changing the channels and volume, try opening the remote with a knife and clean all the pads with rubbing alcohol to prevent sticking buttons. Be careful if using a remote with a roller ball.

My t.v changes single the channels, if I am seeing a channel the minute changes to another one

Just a word of thought. Make sure your remote control is not pointing at the TV. Ive seen this many times. A faulty remote control sending out random signals to the TV due to fluid spillage in the remote. Try keeping the remote well away from TV and see if it still changes channels. If not, check the channel up and down buttons on your TV. Do they feel faulty when compared with volume buttons etc? If so, you might have a channel button on the TV that is half stuck in. Hope this helps :)

Sony trinitron tv KV-32LS36U changing channels

You may have a control button sticking either on your remote or on the front panel of your set. I have run in to this on several sets. When this happens, some really strange things will happen including problems like you're having. Stargazer

This sucker will not turn on.

Check the buttons on the TV set and make sure they make a small detent like click to them, as sometimes these buttons will stick and cause the entire set not to work. Good Luck
