Question about HP DeskJet 3650 InkJet Printer

2 Answers

Printer Door I have a HP deskject 3650. I know this sounds really stupid, but whenever I go to print, the printer says the door is open and won't print. I keep closing the door, I've tried restarting the printer and the computer. It doesn't seem to know when the door is open or not. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Msg Open Door continues while there is no open door. Will print from printer but not from lap top since it will then send the "open door" msg.

I have that exact problem at work. There is a bump on the right side of the lid...and when you close the lid it presses on a lever. Check and see that the bump actually pushes that lever downwards. That's how the printer determines that it's closed.

1. Open the back door of the printer and roll the rollers 5-6 times upwards.

2. Open the top cover of the printer and take out the ink carts fromthe prinetr and clean the copper contacts of the ink carts and the printer ink cart slot.

3. Shut the back door and after inserting the ink carts close the top cover as well.

4. Delete the icon of the printer from the computer and unplug and replug the usb cable from the printer.
