Question about RCA TH102 (256MB) MP3 Player

1 Answer

Pc cannot identify USB, pc erased all data on it

RCA TH102 was working fine on daughter's computer and she added & deleted several songs. Later I plugged it into my pc and it erased all files and the pc cannot read USB format at all. Can I reformat it or download a new driver for it?

Have music on my device and wish to erase it.

Plug into computer via USB, select SYNC option, You can select individual songs or albums for deletion. Simply right click on the song or album to be deleted and scroll down to the "Delete" option. Confirm to delete from library. Once unplugged it should let you know that the library was updated and go to the main screen. You can then just go through same process as you did the first time to add new music. Hope this helps. Should be a quick process.

yes...unplug from pc shut mp3 off for a minute...plug it to pc (did it come on turn it on)...please get into the habit of disconnecting any usb connection with the safety disconnect...(green icon in task bar when usb is connected)...since you already deleted all files (format it now) start fresh...now you are able to put your songs on it...but to disconnect do not....do not just unplug the usb

RCA TH102

Hey

First when it is unpluged open my computer
Then plug it in
after it has been installed by windows you should see a new drive
in my computer. if you dont try pressing f5 (refresh)
Double click on the drive that appeared.
You should now see the contents and music

Now all you need to do is to find your favorite songs from your pc and while haveing the mp3 players disk open drag and drop it in!

Good luck!

MP3 Player wont play

I've found out how to help this problem. What you have to do is re-download the firmware and reformat the data area.

Download from this site: http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=25
(If this doesn't autolink, copy and paste it in your browser's address bar.)

And when you run it, click the checkbox for "Format Data Area." When the message comes up saying you want to delete all the files, click "yes-" it's worth deleting all your songs if it works properly afterwards. You'll have to re-sync your songs and the downloads take forever, but it works.

YOUR NOT GOING TO HAVE THE OPTION ON THE MP3 PLAYER, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPTION WHEN YOU LOAD IT TO THE COPUTER. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS RIGHT CLICK ON THE SONGS THAT YOU WANT REMOVED AND SELECT DELETE. I HOPE THAT WORKS FOR YOU. THE IPOD ISSUE I HAVE NOT CLUE SORRY
