Most newer unit the fan comes on if the limit is tripped. The limit is located in the blower section and in the burner section.

I have a carrier 48nlx024 I replaced the fan control board and the fan comes on by itself when t stat is off

Do you have a "circ" feature on your tstat? This will periodically bring the fan on to circulate air. Be sure you are on auto. Is the fan running continuously? Possibly have relay backwards.

Goodman gas pack unit indoor fan stays on all the time

Problem may be with the high limit switch located above the burner assembly with two wires to flat rectangular looking plate. Jumper the two wires and see if the fan quit's running. If so replace high limit switch.

The should be a temp stamped right on the limit switch telling you it's limit. It is very possible it is going bad. I know they make adjustable limits but would not go too much higher than what is in there now. Good Luck!!

the fan induction motor produces a vacuum, check of orofice on motor is plugged by pulling hose off switch end and putting in mouth while running and sucking, this will make a whining sound immediately if no restriction. the fans are controlled through the board by vac., swich, limit sitches, and timers in the board itself. maybe a bad ground on flame sensor.

Fan running but no heat

It could be the circuit board, relay, heat strip coil or limit. If you have the fan switch at the t-stat in auto and the fan is running constantly it's probably a high temp limit that tripped. Was your filter clean or dirty? If you had a dirty filter and/or A/C coil it will restrict air flow and cause the furnace to overheat.

Fan continues to run after desired heat is established , I blew out the line at pilot and the unit is taking 10 to 15 mins for fan to cut off

Looks like your fan limit switch may be bad. It fits into the warm air side of the furnace. It tells the fan to come one and off when the heat is blowing over the limit switch. Now if that limit is defective it also will affect the lighting of your heater being it electronic ig-niter or just common thermocouple type controlled pilot light. Now above your post I think the wong information was given about your gas heater, so giving you the exact information will be difficult. Now from hearing you explanation of the problems, I hope my information was a help to you, Thanks Sea Breeze
