Either the bearings are faulty or there is some garbage near to theOnce you will have to check for the cleaning otherwise change the bearings.

That usually comes from the main wash head being reinstalled without the white washer which provides a smooth surface for it to glide on, or it has cracked and fallen off, OR it's mounter to the head and has simply eroded.
It's most likely coming from the wash motor bearings. Based upon the age of the dishwasher it might be time for a new one. Although it can be fixed by replacing the motor. if you have a torx 20, and torx 15 screw driver, you an remove the screws from the top plate of the wash motor, and underthere youll see another t15 screw converingthe "chopper" assy, sounds as if a seed, of chicken bone, perhaps apiece of glass hasgottne down there
It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.
have you lowered the top basket into the lower position? if so the spray arm will knock the cutlery /plates. it sounds as though it is a spray arm problem. remove them and put it in wash to see if the noise goes. if not there may be an obstruction in the wash pump, this is a stripdown job then.
