Question about Alpine Air XL-15 Air Purifier
I checked the inter lock switch but I can not tell if it is working. Is there a way to test it to see if works correctly. I reinsatalled the Glass plates the metal clips that hold the pates must make contact with the metal sceen bonded to the glass, correct.
Yes, the plates contact the screen. If you used soap on the plates there may be a residue. Use nonsudsing ammonia OUTDOORS and a toothbrush, then rinse thoroughly and let it dry before putting it back. It may take a few minutes of running to get the ozone going again after that. The interlock switch on some units is pushed back to go on, on others pushed down. Make sure the little plastic doodad (or metal on older units) is pushing the switch properly - you'll know if the fan doesn't go on.
