Check the brushes in the motor.

check the drain hole when you start the machine if the water is coming back out , if yes that means your dump valve is bad.

have you checked the filter behind the flap on the front of the machine, this could be blocked. if the machine is full of water though you will have to manually drain it by putting the grey outlet hose into a bucket or a washing up bowl. you will also need one or two towels to place on the floor because there wil still be a bit of water left in the ipes even though the drum is empty.

Assuming its pumping out ok, sounds like motor brushes..if not pump clear filter..

Locate the filter at the botton front right of washer, behind a drop down cover.
Unscrew anti- clockwise to remove and clean.
If still no go, then you need to check the brushes in the motor.

I have a Zanussi FLS-879 washing machine and seems like it is trying to spin on the low speed but something is stopping it from doing so.The filter is clean and even the pump switch seems to be ok.
I didn't check the motor though.
Any suggestions pls.
