Medion's Dark screen
I see you've downloaded the video card driver, but how about the driver for the monitor? It's a long long shot, but I shall refer you to http://www.monitor-drivers.com/ It's worth a shot, afterall I hate seeing parts thrown in the basement. Sadly your problem sounds far worse than a driver problem (which is probably plug and play anyway). It sounds to me like a monitor on it's last leg. Severe problems that happen gradually like you described point to something beginning to fail. First it takes forever to start up, then later you have to turn it off and on again real fast to get it to initialize, then finally it just craps out.
Hi,
Could you pls post back with the specific model of Medion monitor?
It would also be of help to know to what brand/model of PC you are connecting it to.
Initially, you may want to check that the audio cable are plugged in correctly (green jack/plug), that drivers are installed in the Sound, video and game controllers in your Device Manager and that there are no red or yellow markings.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
